EU commissioner: China ignores criticism of censorship
According to Vivian Reding , European commissioner for information society and media, China is ignoring international criticism of censorship and restrictions on freedom of speech. “They are not ashamed of censorship”, Reding says. While the European Union worries about the protection of its citizens from Internet control, the situation in China is about protection of the government from the Internet. “We are not speaking the same language. For them, it’s ordinary behavior.”
It’s quite sad to hear that even nowadays, a wonderful country like China is (still) suffering from censorship.
