As a suggestion, you could have a look at the &lt;a href=&quot;http://portal.acm.org/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;ACM Portal&lt;/a&gt; and find out what has already been done in your working area and identify possible starting points for your own project.

Web search personalization is a large subject, so you should easily find an area you&#039;re comfortable with.
